Jawa Motorcycles has made a significant move in the Indian mid-capacity motorcycle segment by launching the upgraded Jawa 350, priced at Rs 2.14 lakh ex-showroom.

This marks a Rs 12,000 increase from its predecessor, setting the stage for a renewed competition in a market primarily dominated by Royal Enfield models.

The revamped Jawa 350 showcases a major upgrade with its 334 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, a step up from the previous 294 cc unit.

This engine, which delivers 22.5 hp and 28.2 Nm of torque, is paired with a six-speed gearbox, featuring an assist and slipper clutch.

This combination promises enhanced performance and smoother gear shifting.

Notably, the peak torque has increased marginally by 1Nm, while the peak power sees a reduction of 4.8 hp compared to the earlier model.

In terms of design, the Jawa 350 retains much of its classic aesthetics but includes notable modifications like a new dual-cradle chassis, a longer wheelbase, and increased ground clearance of 178mm.

The motorcycle comes equipped with 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, telescopic front forks, dual rear shocks, and disc brakes with dual-channel ABS.

The Jawa 350, weighing 194 kg, has seen a notable increase in kerb weight.

Available in Maroon, Black, and the new Mystique Orange color schemes, the Jawa 350 stands as a formidable rival to the likes of Royal Enfield Classic 350, Hunter 350, and Honda CB350.

Further enhancing the Jawa lineup, the company’s CEO, Ashish Singh Joshi, emphasizes that the new Jawa 350 is more than just a motorcycle, it’s a legacy reborn.

He highlights the blend of classic and modern elements in the bike, ensuring a high-quality, visually appealing, and fluid riding experience.

Priced slightly lower than the top-spec Royal Enfield Classic 350, the new Jawa 350 is positioned competitively at Rs 2.15 lakh.

It sports a new 334cc engine, which, despite producing less horsepower than its predecessor, offers improved torque delivery.

The bike boasts a double cradle frame, a 35mm telescopic fork, preload-adjustable twin shock absorbers, and dual-channel ABS as standard.

With a seat height of 790mm and 178mm ground clearance, the Jawa 350 is designed for both comfort and performance.
